Karen Young will be our featured solo show artists for the month of September.  From September 2-24, 2011.

Karen Young grew up in Texas  on a working ranch owned and operated by her family.  Having family involved in animal husbandry and a father who was an avid outdoorsman Karen  was instilled with an appreciation for the natural world.  This appreciation coupled with a love of art  combined to form the artist that Karen is today. Karen’s work offer a rare opportunity to see the beauty in the domestic as well as wild animals.  Her background enables Karen to delve it to the life and soul of each subject she paints.  From landscapes to horses Karen’s vision is here for you to enjoy.  Karen’s work has been among the people choice favorites both here at the Bigfork Museum and at The Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell.
